Daisha McKenzie

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University in apparel textiles and merchandising with a concentration in management and have over 18 years of experience in business management, consulting, sales, customer satisfaction, cash/inventory management, general store operations, loss prevention, visual presentation, floor sets, store maintenance, and more. While working for Cliff Keen Athletics in Ann Arbor, MI, I was the Director of First Impressions, working to help Sales Managers attain and maintain accounts with hospitality in the forefront of my efforts. In 2010 I became Lead Sales Manager at White House / Black Market in Briarwood Mall. As a liaison for NSSC communication via BOSS System I was responsible for ensuring that the WHBM team achieved and exceeded sales goals by maximizing conversion potentials and assisting women in building wardrobes.

My focus in the business of fashion started as a women’s buyer and merchandiser of athletic footwear and apparel for Puffer Red’s, in Ypsilanti, MI. I was able to conceptualize and create visually appealing displays both inside and outside of the store. I showcased and introduced new items to create a positive store image, ordered and hung printed signage, set up dramatic lighting, analyzed pricing data to strategically plan sales to ensure profit from the merchandise ordered and also determined and predicted what types of clothing and accessories are going to be popular for the future seasons. I would meet periodically with fashion designers and manufacturers to gain insight on current and future trends and merchandise. I attended various fashion shows, annually, to review clothing samples that we would sell in store. I attended Magic Project in Las Vegas, Fame in New York and Style MAX in Chicago on multiple occasions.

I then transitioned to management with Sneaker Villa in Detroit. As an area merchandiser my responsibility was to travel to 10 district stores to implement and maintain company visual merchandising standards and also serve as manager on duty for two Detroit locations curating an effective sales and service culture. I shifted to YAMA at the historic Fisher Building in Detroit. Here I was in my realm, combining my strengths and passions, as lead stylist, associate buyer and key holder influencing a team of 22 to uphold service and style standards. I implemented culture focusing on interior service for the staff and for the customer, a clienteling process and protocol with the company. Simultaneously serving as life stylist, consultant, trinket designer and curator of Trinkets & Such. I birthed T&S in 2016, a gift shoppe focused on the principles of quality, style and service all while inspiring others to do as I'd like to say... “Get CHIC Done!” During my time as General Manager of Detroit Is The New Black I was able to utilize all my past experience to maximize each interaction within the team and with our clientele. It was my responsibility to manage all day to day aspects of the business from payroll, scheduling, inventory, advertising and more.




Devin McKenzie

I have 17 years of experience in sales, management, marketing, customer service, technology, business ownership and retained my licensed for Property and Casualty insurance. It started in 2003 when I graduated high school and was selected to have a paid internship with Ford Motor Company at the Wayne Assembly Plant as an Industrial Engineer. My responsibility was to have a complete understanding of how the Ford Focus was manufactured from paint through production and then find ways to improve the manufacturing process. This would be done by selecting particular jobs that should be done at each stopping station and ultimately turning 4 jobs by 3 people per stop, into 4 jobs by 2 people per stop, to shorten the manufacturing time and decrease overhead. I gained sales and management experience when I worked in the wireless industry selling phones, tablets and computers. During my time in wireless sales I received my dealer certification, was one of the top 10 sales reps in Michigan in 2007 and also received a 400% to quota award in 2008. My skills in sales then led me to Verizon where I was hired in Detroit, MI as a sales and service rep in 2011 and ended as Lead Tier 2 Technical Support Rep in Chicago, IL in 2015.

After years in the wireless industry I shifted careers temporarily in my transition moving back to Detroit and retained my insurance license in Property and Casualty with The Auto Club Group (​AAA ​). Since then I’ve worked for General Motors (Maven & Cadillac departments) as a service rep for the Maven mobile application and car sharing program for Lyft and Uber drivers and for Cadillac as direct dealer and customer connection support. I have received over 10 recognition awards in less than 2 years for the services I have provided for dealers and customers.

As an entrepreneur I am the sole owner of Fearless Rebels Lifestyle Brand, LLC a streetwear clothing company based out of Detroit, MI providing high end comfort streetwear for men and women. We are available online only but have Pop-Up Shops throughout the year. Our first Pop-Up with Three Thirteen was a major success and we sold out in 4h. I am also the Co-Owner of Rebel Nation The Label, an independent record company providing elevated opportunities for success in the music industry for independent artists. We provide ​Marketing, Visual Production, Graphic Design, Photoshoots, Digital Distribution and Website Development services for artists and businesses ​and have released over 100 songs to 20 different digital distribution platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and more. My focus is to take all the skills I have acquired over the years and help others in the areas I feel are most important to success by bringing small businesses into the marketplace and providing great products and services in a premier retail space.
